I would be the first to tell you this cup is a pain to clean, but it is also the most leak proof cup I have found so I don't mind cleaning it. Any other cup I use just pours juice into the floor but these hardly ever leak or it is a very small amount. My 2 year old does chew through the straws but I just buy the replacement straws. Even though it may have a few problems I believe the benefits outweigh all that other stuff.

Our daughter absolutely adores these cups. We have several different ones and they've all been great. It was hard to get the sippy straw through the hole the first couple of times, but once we got the hang of it, it became quick and easy. Our almost 3 year old girl has been using them for well over a year (being less than gentle with them at times) and not a one has leaked or broken.

This is a popular cup among the toddler constituents at my place. But let's be honest, it's not hard to get them worked up over anything.

The grown-ups are a little down on this product these days. Setting up this cup is not easy. You have to thread the top of the sippy straw into the top of the cup just as you roll open the spout on the top, with a little bit of a jiggly motion, so the straw goes through the hole. Once you get an edge through, don't panic but push with firm pressure or you'll lose your opportunity. I found myself trying to do it in a pressure situation. In-laws watching, middle-child awaiting apple juice and on the verge of a meltdown. I flashed back to a night in the ICU during my intern year, attempting to place a femoral line on a dehydrated, septic, and profoundly delirious woman. I was gowned up, the pager was going off, there were rule-out MI's in the emergency room waiting to be admitted, a group of nurses watching and there I was trying to get the femoral vein. I eventually got it, both the line placement and the straw placement in the munchkin cup, but why make life harder than it needs to be. (I guess now we have to worry about which of these products might have lead in them. I'm glad that came along because for a while there it seemed there wasn't enough for parents to worry about.) I've had the best luck with the Playtex spill-proof cups, where you just push in the little plug to make it a sippy cup.

Unfortunately the design of this spill-resistant cup leaks excessively when tipped on its side even when the cap is snapped closed.

While we still use the cup for water at home, we do NOT use it with milk, juice or any other sticky liquid.

We do NOT carry it in a diaper bag as the leakage will dampen or soil the other contents of the bag.

These are adorable. My 18-month old daughter took to them immediately. We started taking baths with the lights dimmed so we could enjoy the effects of the blinking lights. She loves seeing it bop around in the tub and then she grabs them and tries to suction them to the sides of the tub. She hasn't figured out how to turn them on 100 percent of the time. She just lucks out or I help her turn them on and make them blink. Undoubtedly a fun little gadget. And this is where the compliments and appreciation end.

These come in packs of two. One of the two died after 10 days! 10 days! Seriously Munchkin, 10 days! It's not expensive but I would have hoped for more than 10 baths worth of enjoyment to come from this. 10 days is terrible. And based on the other review, this unfortunately may not be an isolated experience.

Unless you are comfortable with throwing a $5 note into a shredder, save your money.

Note to Munchkin: Put in some good old R&D into improving this toy. It's a great concept with terrible durability.

I purchased the Munchkin Disco Tub Lights for our newly adopted 16 month old daughter, as I thought that they would make a fun bath-time toy for her.

The lights come in packs of two (I paid $4.99/pack at Target) and come in fun shapes like stars and fish. The lights are able to float in the water or suction to the side of the tub. The lights can be made to have a steady light or blinking light depending on how many times the child presses the back of the toy--pressing it once creates a steady light, pressing it twice creates a blinking light. Pressing it a third time shuts the light off. The lights also turn off automatically after approxmiately 1.5 minutes.

The good news...my daughter was facinated by the lights and the fact that she could "swat" at them while she was taking her bath and they would go under the water and then come back up. I would also suction them to the side of the tub and she would laugh up a storm trying to remove them.

The bad news...I purchased two packs of these and within two weeks two of the lights had already went dead! Since the batteries are sealed inside the lights and the package clearly states that they are irreplacable, I'm now out $5.00 of my $10.00 purchase in less than two weeks! And I typically only bathe my daughter every other day--so we got about 7 baths out of these before they went "dark!" Now we are left with a "floatie" that doesn't light up and is of ZERO interest to my daughter anymore.

To top things off, I attempted to return these to Target as being defective -- but was told that because I didn't have the original packaging they couldn't allow a return! (Who the heck keeps toy packaging two weeks after the toy was purchased?)

My recommendation...SAVE YOUR MONEY! (I have emailed Munchkin regarding the life expectancy of the lights but have yet to receive a response).

This is more of a toy than a safety measure in my house. It doesn't seem reliable or trustworthy. It worked the first couple of times I used it but the letters "H O T" soon lost their sensitivity to heat and ever since then we have kept it strictly as a bath toy.

My daughter has always loved to look at this floating in the bath with her and now that she can grasp items she wants, she loves to play with it, too.

Owning this die says you're willing to pay money to start at level 2 (hey, it's in the rules!). If you're not a Munchkin fan, this is a complete waste. If you are a Munchkin fan, it's still pretty much a complete waste, but in a good way. Despite owning this quality gaming aid, I've never gotten to use it because my son calls dibs on it every time we play.

It is an attractive, well constructed, and very large die. Having rolled many dice in a misspent childhood, I can say this die has a good feel. Of course, you don't actually roll it... you just use it to keep track of your level. Just don't pick up a duck in the dungeon.

I bought this one because it came with a tiny formula holder (at Babies R Us)...and I am glad I did. It is very easy to use, although sometimes the battery compartment door does move if you apply too much pressure, but it's not a big deal at all--and it doesn't happen that often (I use the mixer probably 6 times a day, 7 days a week and it might slide off 1-2 times). The battery life seems pretty good--we've had the mixer a few weeks now and the battery is still going strong. It does create bubbles when used, but you get that with shaking as well--but the mixer doesn't leave unmixed formula blobs like shaking does. I would recommend this mixer.

This mixer is absolutely horrible. It's very hard to turn on and you have to press very hard to do so. Also, the battery cover at the top of the mixer slides off when you press the on/off button. This is due to the amount of force you have to apply to turn the unit on. To get the mixer working (without the hand cramps) I had to use a screwdriver to adjust the metal connector inside the battery compartment so that I or my wife don't have to press so hard. However, in doing so I have to take the battery cover off just for the mixer to stop. I shouldn't have to re-engineer the product to get efficient use of it. This is a very poor design. Avoid at all cost!

I have owned this mixer for about 2 weeks and it has given me some problems. The on/off button gets stuck and is also sometimes impossible to turn on. However, when I do get it working, it blends the formula very well and as long as you keep the wand completely covered by the formula there are minimal air bubbles. However, the broken on/off button has me in the market for a new mixer.

This is a really cute turtle but the cheap suction cups and poor design have this thing on the bath tub floor in minutes. I tried putting just a couple of toys in it and still the only suction cup that would hold was by it's head.

The top pockets are almost impossible to stick toys into as well because the opening is so small and on the rare occasion the turtle is sticking to the wall it's really hard to get your hand in. We got rid of this within a week or two.

The suction cups are not very durable. I hung the organizer up several times and within minutes it would be in the bath with my daughter. I did not even have time to try it out with toys before it would fall. Maybe I just had a lemon but I would not recommend.

Several years ago SJ Games released a set of dice for Munchkin (10 siders of course) and encouraged players to use them for ease. The fact you bought them from SJ Games didn't hurt their pocketbook either.

Now they have released a 10-sider with engraved artwork and the levels inscribed on the sides. Why buy this one? Well, levels are the all important score card for the game, and this die automatically gives you one extra level when playing Munchkin.

I *LOVE* the munchkin card games and own almost every set. This, however, is my least favorite. It does not strike me as as funny as several of the other sets (like they were trying to stretch a little far), and definitly not as funny as they could be considering the number of Japanese and samurai flicks out there to make fun of. Deifnitly worth buying for the Munchkin enthusiast, but I would recommend Star Munchkin or the regular Munchkin as a better alternative for newcomers to the game.

These are the best baby spoons I have come across. I received a small pack of them for a baby shower and they are better than the nice stainless spoons I got. They hold a bigger bite than the classic plastic covered spoon and the shape allows the baby to get all the food off the spoon. They are tossable, but I cannot toss them. They are too great to do that to. This pack has 24 for $3.95. A steal. I am tempted to by several to put up and give as gifts. These are a must have for meal time!

P.S. At first I was hesitant to use these spoons because I wanted my son to have the best of the best - the expensive engraved spoons. Then my babysitter kept using them and raved about them. So I finally tried them and to my surprise, they were the best of the best.

If you are a nervous wreck that doesn't want to be smacked with a teether, then maybe the knuckleball one would be better for you. But the baby seems to have a good time biting this one and waving it around and smacking himself with it. Baby likes it; it gets on my nerves. But I give it 5 stars because baby likes it.

Munchkin Fu is a great variation on the near-classic Munchkin gameplay.

You battle your munchkin warriors (yakuza, samurai, monk or ninja) against hordes of demons, Gaki and other monsters and collect heaps of treasure and weapons along the way.

The game is fast-paced, VERY varied (and funny too), and easy to set up and play. It's just two card decks and one dice. Simple!

I'm taking off one star just because it's got a fairly steep learning curve. There are a lot of rules, and every card in the deck has it's own set of rules to follow. It can be very overwhelming for a new player... but it's interesting enough to stick with it, and after your first game, it's easy to plan strategies and keep up with the rules and gameplay.

Another item to note is that most Munchkin decks can be combined. ie. you can use your Munchkin Fu decks with your regular Munchkin decks, or other Munchkin games. Rules for combining decks are included.

I love this medicine dispenser. My son had pretty bad reflux when he was very small, and we had to give him Mylanta almost daily. This dispenser made it very easy to measure the correct amount and get him to take it. He was never actually that attached to his pacifier, but, for some reason, he still liked this pacifier-shaped medicator. I have two small complaints about it though: 1. It sometimes is difficult to screw the top on correctly, especially when in a sleep-deprived daze. 2. After many washings, the lines and numbers on the outside that indicate doses began to wear off. I've played many of the Munchkin games and own several. The mechanics are the same for all: start as a generic level 1 human and advance to level 10 by defeating monsters, selling goods and special bonuses. Draw from the door pile - if it's a monster - fight, ask for help (or get the monster augmented or weakend by other players) and /or run away. If it is a trap, resolve it. If it is something else it goes to your hand. Collect treasure cards from defeated monsters or trading or helping other players, and use the bonuses to help defeat the next monsters. Backstab your friends frequently, steal their stuff and cheat, sometimes with both hands!

Impossible sees the Munchkins in the super spy world of Bond, The Saint, The Prisoner and Austin Powers. The basic set has a good balance of monsters to provide challenge, augmentation and deflation cards for fights, good stuff and fun abilities in loyalties and classes. Play can change from impeding victory to defeat as you go from unstoppable superspy to all out Spy-vs-Spy, or have another player pull an underhanded sneaky spy move to suddenly pull ahead or make you lose levels.

Of all the Munchkin series I have enjoyed the Original, Bites! and Impossible the most for overall game balance and smart, funny card names, functions and joke references. This one should generate some really fun suppliments.

This Munchkin is great-- much better than many of the others. It features items designated as guns, cars, knives, etc, and a sidekick who gets you treasures! There's James Bomb, the Femme Fatal (of course), and a really big pile of gadgets. You can be a double agent or a triple agent, and even fight Agent Orange. The villains and gadgets are as silly as always, but the penalties and rewards are more cleverly thought out than in other adaptations. Every class and loyalty had really cool abilities, the best I've seen so far. A must for Bond fans, sf fans, gaming fans, and everyone else.

"Mad Munchkin Fun for those in the Know" 2007-07-14

Munchkin Cthulhu is the newest branch on the Munchkin family tree and as its predecessors, this is a game for gamers, made by gamers, and making fun of gamers.

Game Mechanics

In terms of game mechanics and concept, Munchkin Cthulhu is almost identical to its predecessors. The players kick in doors, fight monsters, steal treasures, and stab their buddies. Traps are now known as Curses, but are otherwise the same.

The new Classes are the Investigator, the Monster Whacker, the Professor, and the Cultist, and of these the Investigator seem to be the one with the most useful abilities (they are particularly neat when combined with the Feline from Star Munchkin), while the Monster Whacker seems to be the most puny. There are no Races (or an equivalent such as Loyalties from Munchkin Impossible), which is a bit of a disappointment as it limits the possible character combinations.

There are some special rules for the Cultist printed in the rules but not on the Cultist card, and it is very important to read these if you want to keep the game from going awry and the players from going mad. Finally, similar to the "...in Black" monsters from Munchkin Impossible, Munchkin Cthulhu offers "Goth" monsters such as the Shog Goth and the Froggoth which can aid each other and cause havoc in combat.

Theme

Not surprisingly, Munchkin Cthulhu is concerned with the game Call of Cthulhu and so it takes on a great challenge. As a game Call of Cthulhu is by many considered an all-time classic among roleplaying games, but the truth remains that it is also a relatively obscure and narrow game. The universe of Call of Cthulhu is complex and a veritable treasurechest of gods and monsters, but even if many roleplayers know and have played the game, the mythology is undisputeably esoteric. This makes it a difficult topic for satire. While the illustrations by John Kovalic do that cards such as the Nightie-Gaunts and the Fun Guy from Yuggoth are amusing in and by themselves, they are probably more so to someone who has encountered Night Gaunts and Fungus from Yuggoth in their games. But many gamers think of Call of Cthulhu as a style of gaming more than an actual game, and so these references to mythos monsters are often for naught. Therefore the challenge of Munchkin Cthulhu is to capture the essence of this style as much as it is to get the references right.

To a large extent Munchkin Cthulhu succeeds in both. In mythos specific references we find monsters such as the Shallow Ones, the Dunwich Snorer, and the Grape Old Ones, as well as Curses such as Learn Yet Another Awful Truth and a card declaring that the Stars are Wrong. It is not a huge surprise that beside the Necronomicon itself, there are no less than four Necronomi-puns (I made that one up myself).

More interesting, maybe, are the cards trying to reflect the sillier aspects and problems of Call of Cthulhu games such as the players being railroaded into the plot (Tchoo-Tchoo People), finding circumstances to be against them (Flashlight Goes Out!), taking drastic measures to defeat the monsters (Backpack Full of Dynamite), abandoning their friends (Shoes of Only Having to Run Faster Than You), and then finally involving outside authorities to deal with the problem (Report Creatures to the FBI), after which they are declared insane (Dragged Off to Snarkham Asylum).

Conclusion

Munchkin Cthulhu is a fun game, and overall the game designers have done a good job of getting the atmosphere of the game just right with a good selection of references and jokes. It shows, though, that the premise of the game - the original Call of Cthulhu - is not as broad a "genre" as for example fantasy or science fiction.

While the many puns on the Necronomicon and the various "Goth" monsters are amusing, they are also a bit repetitious. Likewise, there is a great emphasis on the Cultist, which steals some focus from the other Classes. This is only made worse by the fact that there are no second character-defining trait such as Race in the game.

Even more so than the other incarnations of Munchkin, Munchkin Cthulhu is highly dependent on the players having a specific frame of reference to understand the jokes. While a wide audience can probably appreciate the more universal and pop-cultural jokes of games such as Star Munchkin and Munchkin Impossible, it is doubtful that the same appreciation will be found for the Cruller Out of Space or Gnarlyhotep. But if you do know your Cthulhu Mythos, it is very funny.

Personally this is the worst of the munchkin sets (in my humble opinion), while still funny and entertaining (and easy to play) it lacks soemthing from the other sets I own. Would recommend Star Munchkin or the regular Munchkin before this one.

I really enjoy Star Munchkin & Munchkin Bites and I can't wait to try some others, but we've come to the conclusion that Munchkin Bites is broken. It seems like every time we play it people start whining about the game taking too long. I think the problem is not enough monsters (unless you count the vampires, werewolves and changelings player characters). When combined with Star Munchkin it doesn't appear to drag that game down though. :)

Next to STAR MUNCHKIN this is my least favorite of the very excellent Munchkin series of games.

Two things work against it for me.

1...The Genre is just not my thing, if it is your thing then you will enjoy this game a lot more than I do.

2...The powers system, powers that can be used are based on levels, it is in my opinion not as playable and took my kid a bit longer to catch on. The same system was used in SuperMunchkin and I didn't care for it as much there either.

Nevertheless the game system plays pretty much like all the others so it is pretty solid. Munchkin is a fine game series it's just a question of finding the right flavor for you.

This one just doesn't happen to be mine.

I began playing the Munchkin line when there was only the one game. Who would have known it would grow into this many offshoots and variations? Who? SJ Games of course and boy are they cashing in! Luckily this game series has held up in quality and they really seemed to dig into some quality satire with the vampire theme of this game. I for one have been involved in many sarcastic verbal attacks of all the goths and their over-dramatic gaming style. This game lets you bring that sarcasm right to the game table. If you are a completist and need the whole set, go for it. If vampires are not your bag, you might consider a pass on this one, there are plenty of other Munchkin products out there to keep you entertained (Munchkin Fu, Star Munchkin, Super Munchkin, and of course the original D&D based ones).

"Good Game but not great" 2005-09-09

The rules of this card game of fairly straightforward. Each player is a first level human, Along the way you acquire new personas with new powers (werewolf, vampire or changeling), open doors to fictitious rooms (i.e., pick a card), fight the monster in the room (i.e., on the back of the card), collect the treasure in the room and move on. You can play cards against your opponents, some of them funny, e.g., change his or her sex leading to a turn of distraction (but it might be helpful later against a monster that has a power only against the prior sex) or more sinister, e.g., death. The combat is simple and you can call for allies. There is active card trading and it is a freewheeling game of combat, greed and betrayal.

The things that stop this game from being great are the illustrations which are somewhat funny but generally pedestrian and boring and did not work to create the illusion of going into rooms. The game never transported you beyond a card game. The game is also a slow start and can be a bit boring until you have the strength needed to defeat some monsters, most of which have levels higher than yours. Because you can ask for allies in these fights, the more players the better this game plays. Finally, the number of cards and the way the game plays makes it difficult to develop an overall strategy - I am not saying impossible - but just difficult. This might change the more we play. But this game will not have the repeat playability of other similar genre card games and I suspect that while it is a good concept and an interesting game, the defects will prevent this game from becoming a family favorite.

Munchkin Bites is yet another entry in the Munchkin series from Steve Jackson Games. For an interesting read, google "Steve Jackson" and "Secret Service" at the same time.) The original Munchkin series was a satiric take on hack-and-slash roleplaying; Munchkin Bites takes on the vampire and goth genres. Gameplay itself is fairly simple. Players start with a hand of four cards from which they may select character classes and/or equipment. Each class has its own strengths and weaknesses, but the weaknesses tend to disappear during gameplay as players simply become more and more powerful. Gameplay consists of drawing a card, fighting the revealed monster or dealing with the effects of a non-monster card, and trying to scoop up treasure. The goal? Gain 10 (or 20, if you prefer) levels.

Munchkin Bites is a stand alone game, but it can be combined with any of the Munchkin series, including the expansions. It's not a particularly complex game; the fun comes from arguing about helping or hurting other players in their quest for levels.

In addition, the cards themselves are satirical looks at the vampire and goth roleplaying genres. Curses such as "The Universe Hates You, Lose 1 Level" pop up, as do humorous takes on monsters and magic.

Munchkin Bites is a decent game, and I can recommend it as a simple but fun family game. If you can find it in a local game shop give them your business, but ordering off Amazon will save you a few bucks.

I have played many of the Munchkin series games and own several. The "Munchkin Bites!" set are well balanced and fun play overall, but the Powers mechanic confuses new players. The expansion "Pants Macabre" continues the excellent jokes and silliness of the set with more wandering monsters, monster augmenting or deflating, "dead" items -Parrot (see the Monty Python Parrot sketch), friend, batteries-, some new bats and adds the "Mummy" race. No knockout additions but a good strong suppliment. If you have Bites!, you definately want the Pants!

"The Munchkin fun continues" 2007-12-30

This is yet another installment of the highly successful Munchkin series of card games. As with the others, it can be played as a stand-alone or mixed in with the others for extra humor.

My gaming group plays a lot of Munchkin, and between the 6 of us we have purchased every set. Most of the time we play a "genre" by itself, then switch for variety. But sometimes we mix them up.

What else can I say? If you like puns, this is a great game. If you like card games with an extra dose of humor, you'll like this game. The gameplay takes a little while to learn, but it gets fast once you've played a few games.

Be sure to know your cards on the table! Many times I could have gotten out of a situation by simply remembering what I had down or in my hand.

This same product is elsewhere on Amazon advertised for $5.97, buy it through that link. I made the mistake of not reading carefully through the entire page & didn't realize it was $9.99 for only 3 rolls instead of 36 rolls (I had assumed 36pk meant 36 rolls). If a Target store is available in your area, buy it there, at Target stores it's only $3.96 for the 3 pack. The reason I bought this online at Amazon was because my Target was out of stock. My Albertson's grocery store also carries these for $4.69, which is also cheaper. This was the first time I was not happy with an Amazon purchase...I think the summary description of this should be 3 rolls, not 36pk. It's too misleading. To review the product itself.....we've been using this since the baby was born...they are great for travel so you don't leave a nasty smell in other people's garbage, & if you don't have pets & empty your garbage each day (we do) we use them for home as well instead of a diaper pail. I have been very satisfied with these but will buy them locally and not online...it's cheaper!

I received the diaper duck from a friend who was a mother of three and she told me that she would travel no where w/o this in her bag. I was skeptical but after having used it for the last nine months I have to agree. I have put some pungent diapers in these bags and the odor is gone completely. If there is not a trash can around I dump the bag into my diaper bag and forget it is even there. I daily clean out my diaper bag and refill it since we are always on the go and so it gets thrown away but that is just how good the bags are at dispelling the odor. I must say that if I had known about this prior to using my diaper genie then I would have returned it and only used the diaper duck by Munchkin. I have included the link to the refills as I had difficulty locating them on Amazon. When I lived in the States (I am military and AAFES does not sell this item) I purchased it at Target but now I have to order from Amazon as Target.com does not have them available for purchase. I bought this and on the first use saw that the contents moved all over between the 3 compartments, so all my pre-measuring was useless. Formula also leaked out from under the lid. The Parent's Choice brand (made by Nuby, so it's the same as the Nuby formula dispenser) also had 3 compartments, the formula stays in the compartment you put it in, and does not leak.

I originally bought the Munchkin formula dispenser to use while we were out and about. Since then I have found that I even like to use it at home also. It's so convenient to be able to pour the pre-measured amount of formula into my sons bottle. So simple. I also have a formula dispenser that I got at WalMart (Parent's Choice brand), and that one works well also, but doesn't hold the full 8 oz. worth of formula that this one does. The Munchkin formula dispenser was a great buy for sure!
