Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Cutting Fruit Crate

Product Description

Wooden set features a wooden knife and seven pieces of "sliceable" fruit that can be cut into a total of 17 pieces. Food makes a fun "CRUNCH" sound when sliced. With so many pieces, it?s also a great way to introduce the concepts of part, whole and fractions. 18 pieces in all. Measurements: 9" x 7" x 2.7".

My almost 2-year-old daughter just received this for her birthday. It's great for her to learn more about different fruits, counting, colors, and cutting! She's not so coordinated with the cutting part yet but she tries. The fruit pieces are great quality and see them NOT chipping or the paint wearing off. I got her the sushi set for her upcoming birthday so we can't wait to try that out!

This item is one of our grandson's favorite toys. Way to go Melissa & Doug!!

my kids love these toys. they feel that they are really cutting pieces off the fruit

My granddaughters just enjoy playing 'restaurant'and this was a great addition to their 'menu'. They love to pretend that they own and work at their restaurant and grandma enjoys being their 'customer'. Its wood construction is much better than that 'plastic' stuff.

Santa brought this to my two year daughter. She has really enjoyed playing with it and has learned to cut the fruit. I am a BIG Melissa & Doug fan and have bought many of the wood food items. This wood food toy is great quality, loads of fun and great learning tool. My daughter has a "little kitchen" full wood food. higly reccommend!

I use this product for my own children and for my daycare. It is one of their favorite toys. They love to cut the food and stick it back together. This toy is not only a fun toy to play with, but teaches mathematic concepts (fractions). My only complaint is that the velcro is not quite as "sticky" as it could be.

Love this toy. I bought it for my 2 year old for his bday. He goes to a montessori school and they have the same toys there. we are all about practical learning and fun.

My son (age 2) loves to "cut" and loves fruit, so this product was a natural choice. He has had it for more than a month and still pulls it out to play daily. I also like that it's more durable than lots of play food so our dog can't chew it up. I plan to get more Melissa and Doug food for him in the future!

Excellent toy for the toddler in your life and a fun one for Mom and Dad to join in. My Grandson just loves using the "knife" to cut the fruit and the crunch it makes as he is cutting just adds to the fun.

Melissa and Doug Cutting Food Box

Product Description

Contains 8 smooth-sanded wooden foods, cutting board and knife. Food makes fun "crunch" sounds when sliced! Made of wood with non-toxic finishes. 12 x 11 x 2 3/4. Promotes social, fine and gross motor skills.

We all loved this toy (including my daughter who was the actual toy recipient!). It is interactive, colorful and has nice smooth finish. The cutting sound and the velcro ideas are great. No sharp objects. It would have been much better if the toy's box came with a nice lid and a carry on handle. Other than that, it is exactly how the picture looks while buying the product and is worth the price! Good toy!

Good price love Melissa and Doug toys, they are quality made and last forever. Would recommend and shop again.

We purchased this for 2 different kids and they both love this toy. Kids love to have their own knife and cut their own food. Kids love pretending to be adults and copy mommy and daddy in the kitchen. I really recommend this toy.

My niece and nephew just love to play 'kitchen'. My sister tells me this was their favorite gift - the play food from Melissa and Doug!

I purchased this set along with four other sets and a food stand for my son for his birthday. He wanted to open a store and sell things. He has really enjoyed making and selling his food to his brothers and friends. This set is one of the two most popular ones (the other is the food groups) everyone (including the adults) have loved to cut and put back together the fun food in this set. This was a great purchase for boys and girls!

My granddaughter who is three years old, loves this toy. We gave it to her for Christmas a few weeks ago, and she plays with it daily. She likes to cut, and put the fruit back together to cut it up again. I would say the product is worth the money in terms of satisfaction for her.

Both of my kids have had a great time with this set, and even the adults in the family got a kick out of the whole idea of wooden/velcro cut apart food. Highly recommend.

This is a toy that my 2-year-old boy likes a lot. Different shape, color of these food item not only fun to play with, but also educational. I specially like the real sound from the Velcro!! This toy is well made, I purchased when it's half-off. I think it's great value even it's original price. You can tell the quality is good compare to other cheapy.

The picture doesn't do it justice. There is velcro between each 'slice' so it actually sounds like you are slicing something when the wooden knife cuts them apart. What a pleasant surprise! Very durable

This was a Christmas gift for my 21 month old daughter. Both she and my 6 year old son have a great time with the food. It is held together by velcro, and where the velcro connects is where you can "cut" it... genius! They cut it up and make vegetable soup in her new play kitchen. This toy has only one cutting board and knife. So be forwarned, you may need another cutting board and knife if you intend it to be shared by two children. Overall a great value and great fun.
