Powered by an AC adapter (included) or batteries. Eggspert features two modes of operation:Jeopardy Mode:Each of the half-dozen Eggspert lights connects to an Answer Button held by a student. After hearing a question, students who want to answer squeeze their Answer Buttons. The fastest 'squeeze' lights up the corresponding 'egg' light and the question goes to that student.
Wheel of Fortune Mode: The teacher squeezes the Control Button setting Eggspert's lights into 'motion.' The eggs light up in sequence, blinking and beeping one at a time, first rapidly and gradually slower and s-l-o-w-e-r, until only one egg remains lit. The student (or team of students) assigned that color answers a question or completes an activity.
we used this for dental jeopardy at my dental school, it was awesome! everyone had a blast buzzing in and answering questions.
This is a great alternative to other much more expensive game buzzers. It has plenty of buzzers (6) and it is pretty durable so far. It works exactly like Jeopardy and it also has a random selection mode. It allows you to set a time limit for the contestant to answer the questions (5-20 secs). It also has an AC adapter so you dont have to waste buying AA battiers.
this is a great tool for me to use in my high school science class room. It really spices up review games. It is very economical and has held up well so far!
I bought this game for to used in my classes for review. It works great!! They recommend it for elementary to middle school students, but my high school students loved it!! It is very durable. They pulled it off the desk and it still worked. The buttons are easy to press and the lights and sounds are quite entertaining for the students. It is very easy to use and will work great with any grade level. A must for any teacher who has a classroom!
My high school students like to play games using the Eggspert as a review to prepare for their major tests. They even prepare the questions. I give little prizes to the winning teams. Students report they love it. My system is too new to rate sturdiness over the long haul. So far, so good.
I teach 4th grade, and my students love this game. We use it with vocabulary and spelling lessons as a way to review the day before their test. They look forward to getting to play. It could also be used to review for tests in other subjects too! I highly recommend it!
I'm so glad I bought this item! The Eggspert buzzer system is something I use often in my classroom. It makes it much easier to play Jeopardy-type games and keep track of who is first. I can even set a time limit for answering a question. My fourth-grade students love Eggspert! I use a PowerPoint file as a Jeopardy game with questions in Vocabulary, Comprehension, Grammar, etc. so we are reviewing key points in a fun and exciting atmosphere.
I purchased this to use during test review for my high school students. They LOVE it! It's worth the money to see their excitement as we review. A must have item for teachers.
I used Eggspert for the first time just the other day in my AP Spanish class. It's a very small class of advanced students so discipline is not an issue. I just wanted to spice things up for them a little bit. I created a Jeopardy game with questions using the grammar we have been studying and the students played. They were really excited about it. I am now planning on using it in my lower level, beginning classes to review for tests. To all you teachers out there, I say, "BUY THIS ONE!--It's worth it!"
