I loved this game. My niece introduced it to me and my family last week. The game was difficult to pick up at first as I was playing it "straight". Once I discovered that more could be gained from understanding the personalities of those I was playing with, it was a blast! One player continued to play "straight", another wanted the responses to be "funny", still another was going for the "Twisted" response. Once I understood these variables, I won the next game. Another review was correct. When everyone plays it "straight", the game isn't much fun. Once you understand how everyone is going to play, it is fun to have one "straight" person amongst a group with other perspectives.

This game has been a hit at years of parties or just small hangout time. GREAT drinking game. We usually play till we are done drinkin or tired of it and read all our green cards out loud. Sometimes it's a funny reflection of yourself. MANY GOOD TIMES. Unlike our dreaded years of Monopoly, which always ends at 3 am and everyone is mad. YOU WILL NOT REGRET BUYING THIS GAME. Pick the best answer or the most messed up one sometimes it's just to funny not to lol

I love Melissa and Doug toys, they are a little pricier than some but are quality poducts, the kids love to play with them, they are very realistic and they last forever. Whith a little care my grand daughter's children will be playing with these toys. Wooden toys are great. My grand children are still playing with Fisher Price Toys that were my daughter's, and Melissa and Doug toys are of the same caliber.


Like all Melissa and Doug toys this is well made and durable. My grandchildren love playing with it. I have bought one for both of my daughter's families with young children. It is educational as well as fun.


I purchased this set along with four other sets and a food stand for my son for his birthday. He wanted to open a store and sell things. He has really enjoyed making and selling his food to his brothers and his father and I. The set is a good size and has been played with in our house by girls and boys ages one to nine, not to mention how much I have played with it with them. Highly recommended.


My 2 year old daughter ejoys a book that talks about having a pizza a party so we got this for her as a xmas gift and she really likes playing with it. She likes most cutting the pizza using the pizza cutter. I think it's great for her coordination to be able to place the different condiments on the pizza, to cut it and to serve it. Everthing is made of wood and is very durable. You velcro the pizza together and velcro the condiments on. It's great, we love it.


Durable cute and fun. My 5 yr. olds favorite kitchen toy she loves to sort and count the toppings before she serves the family slices.


We got this toy for our daughter who will turn 3 soon. She seems to like it, but doesn't play with it all that much yet. (We just gave it to her for Xmas about two weeks ago.) It is clever that the pizza toppings velcro to the top of the slices, but the slices also velcro to each other, which makes it difficult for her to "cut" the pizza and remove the slices. The toy seems well made and durable and I expect that she'll like it more over time.


I gave this to my son and one for a friends daughter and they both spend lots of time serving up pizza. Very well made. A great toy from Melissa & Doug!!


My two kids received the Pizza Party as a Christmas present and they have not stopped playing with it. We have had pizza served to us almost every morning, as well as throughout the day. It is nicely made and we love the fact that the toppings velcro on so they won't fall off as the kids are playing. Even though there are a lot of pieces, I like how the tray has separate compartments so the extra toppings can be stored.


I just got this for my 2 1/2 year old daughter. She loves to play with it. She experiments with different toppings and loves to 'serve' us pizza when she's done 'cooking' it in her play kitchen. She really likes to cut with the little pizza cutter included.
We've only had it a few days so I can't comment on durability but it seems to me that it will hold up fine. I think the paint will eventually start to wear and I suppose after repeated use, the velcro might become weakened but other than that I see no negatives with this toy. For the price, it was well worth it. She will get a lot of use from this I think.
Well made too - my daughter is pretty rough with her toys and since this is all wood construction (even the box is thick wood) it will stand up to her abuse.



My girls aged 1 and 4 love the Melissa and Doug food sets. They are very durable and cute. It's a nice break from all the plastic toys out there. My only complaint is that the box does not have a lid. This makes keeping everything together so much harder...

My 26mth old son loves this cake. We bought it as a gift for 2weeks of no potty accidents. He has played with it constantly, making all kinds of cakes and singing to his stuffed animals. He shares cake with everyone. Playdate was exceptional this week too. Pieces are good for fine motor, bilateral coodination, commnication, speech, social development. I am a firm believer a toy needs to have some educational value and this one hits on just about all toddler development area. I imagine he will play with it for a long time. He's a big fan of birthday/holiday celebrations. Can't comment on durability yet, but if it like the rest of the toys from M&D, it will last a long time.


I got this set and the Ice Cream Parlor Set set for my 4 yr old niece for her birthday. Her Mom said she loves them and has a lot of fun playing with them. I thought they were adorable and couldn't decide which one to get so I got both.


Before my Granddaugher turned 3 years old, I ordered this for her. She was and still is, really into "birthdays" and singing "Happy Birthday" too. I also enjoy buying her wooden toys and puzzles and I am particularly fond of Melissa & Doug brand toys. This is a great toy and you won't be disappointed! My Granddaughter loves it!

I was torn about ordering this toy. But it's arrived and my two year old has had lots of fun with it already (and is currently playing with it in my lap). I like that it has a tray to store and carry everything. One of the candles arrived with the flame detached already (a simple fix with glue). Some of the the decorations were showing wear within a half hour of gentle play. It's not super noticeable and isn't detracting from my son's enjoyment.

Overall, this is about what I've come to expect from an inexpensive wooden toy. I could have spent more and got an heirloom quality toy, but he'll enjoy this one for a couple of years and it will probably be around for several more years after that though it will look a little worse for wear by then.

I don't usually get Melissa and Doug toys because I like to support small crafters or make his toys myself. But this fit the current need just fine and was within my budget.


This was perfect for my children. I had been searching for something similar for awhile. I have twins who are three and my oldest is four and they love to not only celebrate their own birthdays but pretend it's birthday time. They have a play kitchen at home w/ a stove, oven, etc. so this enables them to bake a cake, top w/ candles and other toppings, slice and serve. It's educational in that it allows them to count the number of candles they want to place on top. It's cute. It occupies them for hours and they take so much pride in the cakes the make and love to show them off. And there's no question that it's durable b/c it's wood. I was not so much familiar w/ Melissa & Doug but I would definitely consider them in the future. And surprisingly, a family member gave my twins a Melissa & Doug puzzle. This is a good one ...


My 3-year old loves this. We "eat" birthday cake almost everyday. It is very durable, easy to use, and encourages imagination. It comes in a wooden box hat we use to store it in when not in use and it has a wooden "plate" it sits on so it is easy for my child to "cook and serve" the cake. The interchangeable candle and cake toppings are nice and add variety so people can order what they want and my 3 year old will create the perfect piece! This is tons of fun and I would absolutely buy it again (and I have - as gifts!).


This toy is awesome because the little ones can play birthday party and actually cut and serve the pieces. It comes with extra toppings and candles that velcro right on to the top of the cake. My 3 year old loves this toy. The toppings are just big enough to fit completely inside my 1 year old's mouth so we had to put that part of it away for the time being but my 3 year old doesn't even know they're missing. Great product, highly recommended!


Bought this for my 2 1/2-year-old daughter, who always loves to pretend it's someone's birthday. She plays with it for a good while, decorating, singing, blowing out candles, cutting, and serving--then doing it all over again! The only drawback to this particular M&D product is that it doesn't have the plastic slide-on cover like the pizza one does.



Very cute wooden toy. Lots of little pieces that are difficult to keep up with. My 3 yr old and her friends love it. The candles don't stand up as well as I would expect from a Melissa & Doug toy. I wish there was a cover on the storage box to contain all of the pieces.
