My daughter is only 10 months old, but we have been working on stacking the blocks, tearing down the blocks, and spelling her name. We are excited to use the blocks for years to come. And the carrying cart completes the toy. Nice product.


I bought the same sharp blocks at Target for $1.00 in their dollar area. I thought Melissa and Doug would have safer blocks so a disappointment to see the same quality, but kids still like blocks, just don't step on them!


With so many electronic toys out there--we sometimes forget that wooden blocks in a wooden wagon might be a good choice.

I picked this up for my 11 mnth old nephew as an extra Christmas gift--much to my surprise, he loves it.

He can stack, knock down (sometimes throw) the blocks--puts everything but the blocks in the wagon and drags it all over the house.

The letters and numbers are all brightly painted on, and everything seems like it will last a good while. It's a great value for a fun--albeit old fashioned toy.


I bought this for my two year old grandson. So far he is enjoying using these with his dump truck. On the plus side is the wooden cart which seems to be fun for putting the blocks back in after dumping. Education-wise, the blocks have pictures that do not begin with the alphabet letter on the other side of the block. Also, having only been used two or three times, I noticed the paint is already chipping off the corners of the blocks. All in all it is still a good toy and most likely worth the money because of the durability of the wood and the whimsy of the little cart, if you don't mind explaining why grapes are on the block that says "B".


Its a great toy. The kids love to build and arrange the blocks, plus the Cart can be used to wheel everything else they own around the house.


My 20 month old daughter loves pulling the wagon around. She even puts her other toys in the wagon and pulls them around. The blocks have all kinds of pictures on them, not just letters and numbers. Great for learning more than just letters, numbers and colors. The blocks seem pretty durable but so far my daughtethe did not have desire to "eat" them. May not be too good for younger babies or children that mouth everything. The wood is kind of soft.

At first I was a little disappointed because the set was smaller than I expected. But after watching my daughter play with them, I realized they were just the right size.


A big bonus after opening this product was that the blocks had pictures of animals, fruit, veggies, numbers, etc. in addition to the ABCs. Due to the multi-sided blocks, we can play other types of games (including sorting, identification of familiar objects, colors, etc). The blocks are fairly small but do not seem to be choking hazards, and they are stackable for older toddlers. All in all, a great educational toy at a great price in a neat rolling container.


My son is 18 months and will play with this for HOURS. He loves it-- just takes the blocks out, stacks them, puts them back in. It seems like it would be good for developing coordination and spatial skills. Also a nice basic old-fashioned toy-- does not require batteries or play irritating music! The only minus is that the blocks are a little smaller than I expected and do not have rounded corners. Otherwise, the perfect toy.



This product is an excellent way for a young child to learn the alphabet and the order of the letters of the alphabet.

I could not be happier with this product.


We all had these as kids, and these are fine, although picking them up each day isn't much fun, nor is stepping on them with bare feet.

My son is 19 months old. Knew approx 10 letters. Introducing this item to him he now verbally knows 15 letter (3 weeks later)and 20 just by sight. He places every one in the slot it belongs. The slot allotted for the letters are printed the same as the block letter. It helps them located the letter by color and shape. It also helps motor skills. I praised him when he gets the correct letters in. He now praises himself by clapping his hands when he completes the puzzle.


This is a great puzzle but I wish the pieces where painted on all sides and not only on the top, that would make them more water resistant when drinks are spilled on them accidently. Also, the one we received is not completely flat so best if played on a carpet or rug insead of a solid surface.

My daughter is enjoying playing with it and is learning new words while playing. The letters are chunky enough that she can easily grab them and place them on the board.


We play with this puzzle every time we go to the library and love it!


Nothing negative to say about this chunky puzzle. My daughter finally showed interest in letters after playing with this. Great opportunity to work on colors, letters, phonics and vocabulary, with the little pictures behind the letters. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase.


I love Melissa and Doug puzzles, and this one is great. My son loves to learn his letters through it, and the chunky pieces are great for his little fingers. The paint has chipped a little bit, but that's probably because they've ended up in his mouth one too many times. Great product!


This just came in the mail, and my 19 month old and I already love it. The pieces are perfect for her hands; smoothly painted, durable, easy to hold, easy to remove and put back. The pieces are painted the same as their spots on the board, and every letter is a different color combination, making the matching of the pieces in their places easy. I'm very pleased with this purchase.


I have twin girls and they both enjoy this puzzle a lot. The big chunky letters are awesome. during the course of the day they spend atleast 2hr.



My 2 year old son loves this puzzle. The large pieces are easy to handle, and the colorful pictures keep him entertained. It keeps him engaged and he's very proud once he's completed it.
