My daughter loves this toy. We can tell stories and dress the bear family to match the tone of the story. Also great for family roll play stories. It's also very portable and easy to take to friend's houses to keep the kiddo busy while we visit.


This is a wonderful product. It is well made, has variable options for creating different outfits, and is as cute as a button! I and my granddaughter am very pleased with this precious puzzle.


My mother-in-law purchased this puzzle for my 2-year-old daughter, and we couldn't love it more! My daughter really enjoys the fact that the bears each have several different facial expression pieces to choose from in addition to the outfits, and I can't stress enough how nice it is to simply be able to pour all the pieces in the box, slide the puzzle lid on, and pop it on a shelf. No more hard, wooden puzzle pieces to step on or lose!


Since my first purchase of the wooden bear puzzle from a thrift store, it has been a favorite of my now 4 year old grand-daugther. I first introduced it to her when she was 3 years of age. I've purchase the puzzles as gifts for my friend's children as well. Their parents are thankful because it allows them to learn and have fun without becoming frustrated. I'm glad I was able to find it on Amazon. Again, a wonderful gift!

Melissa & Doug Royal Family Wooden Doll Set

We got the Royal Family Wooden Doll Set to go with the Melissa and Doug Princess Castle. Our daughter just LOVES the whole set! They are high quality and go with the castle perfectly. She got this set, along with the castle and the Castle Furniture, for Christmas and she has played with it every single day since. Even her older brother enjoys playing with the set. Lots of fun and high quality! Great job again by Melissa and Doug!! The only complaint that I would have would be that the horse's legs are difficult to manipulate to a standing position after the toy has been played with for a while (they become loose). It doesn't seem to bother my daughter one bit though.


So far my toddler loves her castle and little people for it and am surprised she has not yet broken the drawbridge -knock on wood


These figurines fit well into the MnD castle. However, as a parent, I do not think they are necessarily all that appealing to a child. I find the figurines to be a little spooky. I would like to see McD make them more suited for a little girl and more prinesses.


We just received this set and I felt compelled to leave a review. I usually love Melissa and Doug products and have always been impressed with their quality. Not so with this set. They are extremely and VISIBLY poorly constructed. There are visible splinters protruding from the hinge joint for the horses heads, large gobs of glue are dripped all over the legs, crowns and clothes, and the princess has one leg that's visibly shorter than the other, which makes it impossible for her to stand up.

We also have the Modern Family from Plan Toys, and I would highly recommend that set over this one, even though it's not a "royal family."


We bought these at the same time as the pink Melissa and Doug castle. I thought they were cute and looked durable. I somehow thought my daughter would want 'real' princess toys too and bought a small collection of disney princess babies (little girls). Two months later that set is either broken (heads came off) or clothes missing and I don't think we have an intact doll left. So this set where the clothes aren't removeable and they're built to last is the one I prefer! She has great fun with the characters and I like not having to hunt down little pieces.
