I bought this game with the hopes of adding something new to our game nights. We're all YBPs (young business professionals) just shy of the 30 year old mark and we like to get together and have some drinks and play board games once in a while. This game held our interest for about 17 minutes, but after that we soon went back to Catch Phrase. Buzz Word is challenging, but the person giving the clues can only read what is written on the card. Catch Phrase allows the person giving the clues to be creative and really come up with something unique or original to get his team to guess the answer. This is my biggest disappointment with this game, the lack of creativity afforded to the reader of the card. I'm sure we'll play this game again next time, hopefully for a little longer than 17 minutes.

I played Buzzword for the first time yesterday and it was a blast. We had a group of 8 people (ages 64,60,45,36,33,30,14,11). The game had questions that kept each generation engaged throughout the game. It was a great game that got everyone involved. It took no time at all to learn the rules. I also learned quite a bit from the older generation. Who knew that molasses was also known as black strap?! Or a tall dresser was a highboy?
I suggest you play with "house rules" with this game. You can decide whether or not to accept a phrase that's similar or to judge on the exact phrase that's given as an answer. We played with house rules. It made the game even more fun and kept the bickering to a minimum.

Our family (ages 24-49)plays many games. We have them all so it is hard to find something new. We like games like Cranium, Scattergories, Taboo, Scrabble. This game has a variety of questions and everyone is able to play. It is a lot of fun. You have to think fast. We like competition. It was a good pick for us.

We played this game on Thanksgiving for the firt time. We had a marvelous time! It is geared more for adults the small children. Although children can surprise you sometimes. It is great when you have a crowd of people playing. It is fast and EASY to learn. I would highly recomend this game to anyone who wants to have a great time!
