My son (2) LOVES this toy!!! He and his big sister (5) have played with it almost every day since we've gotten it (about 4 weeks now).
My 2 year old got this as a birthday gift and plays pretend almost everyday. We put them in the pretend oven and set the timer and she thinks this is great fun. She really enjoys baking these "delicious" cookies. She is learning to slice the "dough" and count the cookies and frosting shapes. As she gets older we can play more counting and sorting games. We love it!
Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookie Set
I bought this for my granddaughter, almost three, who already has the fruits and vegetables for her pretend kitchen. She has been rolling out, baking, and painting sugar cookies with me and is fascinated by making cookies. She spend hours yesterday playing with this set. The velcro is a little stiff and one velcro piece pulled off the cookie sheet. I would buy this again in a heart beat, though.
i run a child care center and all of my children love to pretend to bake cookies! this is a great price for this product. they are all wooden and even the tray is wooden and its very durable. i have had no problem with the paint chipping etc.
Santa brought this cookie set for my daughter and she has played with it just about everyday. It is a perfect set for her "little kitchen" and the adults have enjoyed it as well. It was such a hit I bought several for birthday gifts. Amazon is about $[...]-$[...] cheaper than the toy stores. Very durable toy as well.
I bought this for my daughter, but I think my son enjoys it more lol. So we all really enjoy it and all of our other Melissa and Doug products.
I gave this to my granddaughter for Christmas. She has enjoyed playing with the cookie set. It is a good solid toy. I really like toys by Melissa and Doug.
I love the Melissa and Doug food sets. Though they seem a little expensive it is because they are so well made and durable. The cookie set was the biggest hit with my 3 year old daughter who likes to "slice" the cookies apart and frost them over and over. Lots of fun.
I know I said that the educational value was 3, but sometimes just pretending is wonderful for a child. From the moment both of my granddaughters opened their gifts, they absolutely loved this imagination toy. They played with them before opening any other toys, and that's saying something for 4 year olds. The cookies are very sturdy and the girls love playing with them.They both love to play pretend tea parties and cooking for us. This was the perfect gift!
My daughters got this for Christmas this year and have had a blast playing with it. We own several Melissa and Doug products and have never been disapointed with any of it.
The play food is high quality and we have never had any paint peel. One time a piece of bread cracked and after calling them they sent out 2 huge replacement pieces. They have wonderful customer service and I will continue to order their products.
