Includes one each of Standardbred, Hackney Horse, Lusitano, Appaloosa, Quarter Horse, Arabian, Clydesdale, Mustang, Thoroughbred, Saddlebred, Pinto and Shire. Horses measure in range from 3" x 3.5".
I ordered this Melissa & Doug pasture pal set for my daughter for Christmas. She's almost two and loves all things horses. I must admit both her and my son (3) love these horses and it may have in fact been the best gift (in their opinion) of the year.
I , on the other hand, am sorely disappointed. Melissa & Doug are one of my favorite toy makers so i was stunned to see how cheaply made and horrible these horses truly are. They are covered in some strange fuzz that my son now enjoys peeling off of the horses bodies.
I wish they would remake this set in plastic. I would happily purchase and give 5 stars if they were remade.
My daughter loves these. She has named each one, and plays with them every-day. I wouldn't recommend them for younger children, because the tails come out easily.
I purchased this item for my granddaughter, who loves the little horses. She had specifically asked for this from a catalog, so it was clearly something she had checked out.
My daughter liked these horses! They were pretty cute but the case was not really what I expected as it doesn't have a front closure and the pictures behind the horses are made out of thin cardboard. Overall, though, my daughter likes them and that is who I bought them for.
Bought for my 8 year old grand daughter. She loves the horses, and has memorized each and every card that came with them. She can recite all the info on any you pick out for her, so I am very pleased with this toy. She has learned more about horses in a couple of weeks since she was given this than she learned all year taking riding lessons. Very good gift, excellent toy.
My 7 year old is crazy about horses, and this product is a great value because you get 12 little horses for the price you might usually pay for 2 or 3 horses. All you moms out there who have literally a hundred little "horseys" laying around the house will appreciate this! My daughter plays with them for hours. The back of the box also identifies each of the 12 horse breeds, and gives a little story about the horse, so the product is somewhat educational. I gave this product a less than perfect score on the measure of "durability" because the horses are small and the legs could break off if stepped on or thrown in the bottom of a toy box.
My daughter 6 enjoys houses. These horses are sturdy when standing. She enjoys playing with them but as a parent I would not have purchased this product had I seen it in a store due to size and case.
My daughter loves horses and received this before she was two. She plays with it almost every day and builds barns for all the horses, but the tails can be pulled out fairly easily. They can be forced back in, but they are coming out more frequently the more she plays with the toy.
I love this gift! Great price for what you get. These are small horses but are still great. They are soft so you can't let them get wet. My daughter just adores them! Great gift.
I bought these for my twin 4-year old daughters for Christmas and they have a lot of fun playing with them. My major complaint is unless you lie the box flat and store it under the bed (or where ever you have room) the horses tend to fall out easily. Also they collect a lot of lint over time. Every little hair or piece dust seems to stick to them which can be annoying. Other than that they are pretty fun.
