My 7 year old grandson absolutely loves this castle. It is one of his very favorite toys. He spends hours at a time playing with it. I think it's one of the best toys ever & an excellent bargan.

I bought this for my son's 5th birthday and he and his friends (boys and girls) played with the castle all day. The kids were actually waiting to play with the castle over the commercial action figure toys that are marketed everywhere. This is a great imaginative toy for boys! The construction is durable as all Melissa and Doug toys are.
I bought this for my 4 year old grandson for christmas. It arrived much sooner than expected. It was beautifully packed in shrink wrap in a heavy box. Ready to play with right out of the box. Lovely details. Lots of play value with stairs and working drawbridge and trap door. My grandson plays with it everyday and includes all sizes of his action figures in the scene. 4 year olds don't concern themselves with scale.
He sometimes plays rough and this castle can take it. I would expect to pay much more for a toy this durable and detailed.
Best castle out there as far as I can tell. We alternate playing with playmobil knights/princesses and Schleich horses/fairies. My son (2) got the blue castle for Christmas, my daughter (5) the pink one. They both love their castles and play with them a lot.
This seems to be a well made, sturdy castle. I looks like it will hold up against my three little boys. The draw bridge doesn't close all the way, but this doesn't affect the kids ability to use and play with it at all.
This was purchased for my 3 year old son. It was hard to find one that was not for girls, or too dark and scary. This was perfect. We got the Narnia characters from the Disney store to go with it, as well as the dragon from Sleeping Beauty, and Aladdin figures. He loves it. It is sturdy enough for my 1 year old to step on occasionally and throw things on. My 6 year old nephew couldn't get enough of it either. Great toy, promotes imaginative play for children of all ages.
This castle is large and very interesting visually. It looks like a much more expensive castle, as it is a quality wooden design. This is a great toy for imaginative play. Highly recommend for kids who like castles, knights, and the like.
What a great toy.. I would highly recommend it. The Melissa and Doug people aren't my favorite (although great for younger children). However, the castle is just beautiful, and very durable.
I purchased this castle for my 4-year-old and 2-year-old sons. Both of them absolutely love it. They have literally played with it for hours just this week (and normally they beg to watch t.v.). The castle is well made and features a working drawbridge, a jail with a trap door and a sliding barred door, stairs, and a movable lookout tower. I love that it can unfold or close. A wonderful bonus -- I ordered this on black Friday (after Thanksgiving) and it was here on Monday!
