Sitting on the floor is much more fun with this fantastic bead maze. It features brightly colored, multi-shaped beads that spin and slide along colorful wire pathways. Toy is anchored by a strong suction cup base. Encourages color recognition, eye-hand coordination and fine motor development through play.
My little boy enjoys this maze so much that I am purchasing the larger one from Melissa & Doug. The baby is kept preoccupied while I fix his food (wonderful) and cannot pull it off his tray like another toy I had purchased.
The maze is very well-constructed. It is great (in my opinion) but my daughter just didn't like it... She only touch it once in a blue moon.
You never know if your kids will like a toy till they've tried it. I should have taken her to a store that sells one to see if she likes it first before buying. That's my mistake so I hope this will serve as an advice to parents.
Given that it's not the problem with the toy and it really is well-constructed, I still rate it 5 star.
These beads fit right on top of my son's high chair so he plays with it while I prepare his meal. There are suction cups on the bottom so it's secure. And unlike other toys with suction cups, this one actually stay on no matter how hard my son pulls at it. My son has been playing with this toy since he was six months old.
We got this toy for our 9 month old since he loves the bead mazes. It is small and portable, which is nice for traveling. The wood is smooth with no rough edges. The only minor inconvenience is that the suction cups don't work that well. Our 9 month old and 3 year old love this toy.
This toy is very good for keeping my son occupied while I'm feeding him. Without something to do, he gets bored and it's very difficult to keep him in his highchair. However, if I had known that Melissa & Doug toys were made in China, I would have found a different toy instead. I can't imagine why a company would enlist China to make simple wooden toys when we have plenty of hard working people and plenty of lumber here. I won't be buying from China this holiday season, so I won't be buying any more Melissa & Doug.
good toy, sturdy, no pieces to fall off, no batteries needed. Colorful. Can be played with in different ways by different children. BIg enough to handle and spot, can't be shoved under th couch or furniture.
It attaches to just about any surface and is a great way to entertain baby. It saved us on more than one occassion eating out. =)
I got this for it's portability for a trip, but ended up taking the bigger one. This is nice for small hands, but has only 2 "tracks" and isn't very interesting. I would recommend a larger one for more fun.
We purchased this toy to engage my 11 month old during dinner on a family vacation. While other toys are very engaging this one fell short. Not a whole lot to do with this toy.
This toy is not high on the toys I would recommend.
We bought this for our first flight with our 9 month old. We stuck it to the window of the airplane! and it distracted him for about an hour and a half. I think it will also be great for restaurants. The suction cups seem to work well.
