I like it because it has a dungeon that opens and closes, and you can put any other [toy] people or animals you want in it. It also has a drawbridge that opens and closes which is really fun."
We absolutely LOVE this castle! Because my daughter is 5, we decided to get some of the PAPO characters to compliment the castle rather than the Melissa and Doug ones. She LOVES them! The only bummer was that the dancing princess has a skirt too big to fit in the tower! The castle is even better than expected. The secret jail cell and drawbridge are perfect details! I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone with a kid who has an imagination! (Sidenote, a number of my daughter's little boy friends have had a great time with the PAPO dragon and knight in the castle. I would definately recommend the less "princess-y" castle for any little boy!!!)
Price was great. Sold for $99 in stores. Papo figures do not fit in doors and other openings. Melissa & Doug figures are lame.
Wonderful! My grand daughter just loved it. So did I - nothing to put together, comes already assembled. Very sturdy. My grand daughter is 2 years old, and she played for over an hour with the castle and playset. Really lets her use her imagination.
The castle is very cute and girly. I bought some play mobile furniture as suggested by another reviewer and some of the items are too big to get into the room openings. My daughter is just about three and cannot get the furniture in and out; most of the items sit out infront of the castle. I wish that I had purchased a different house with more spacious rooms (or several usable rooms). It is large, well made, and pretty; however it is not practical for the pretend play that I had in mind when I made this purchase. Most of the space available will not hold the play mobile sets (which are small) and just don't serve any purpose.
This castle was a christmas present for my daughters, ages 5 and 3. They love it. It folds up and the tower comes off to make it easier to put away. Made of plywood, but seems well made. I'd rather have wood than plastic any day.

This castle comes assembled and ready for immediate play. The castle folds so it can be stored more easily and opens to a few different positions. My 4 year old daughter loves it! I will get her the matching furniture for her birthday.
My 4 year old daughter loves her new castle! The quality is outstanding. The fact that the castle can be folded up works great for storing the figures. The Papo figures we bought separately (princess, king, unicorn, knights, etc.) fit well in the castle rooms and doorways. I would highly recommend this toy as it is wonderful for imaginative play.
my toddler seems to enjoy her castle and its little people. I'm surprised she hasnt broken the drawbridge -knock on wood
My 5 and 3 year old girls got this for Christmas. It has been a huge hit at our house. We got the royal family and a couple of dragons to go along with it and it has provided hours of fun for both girls. I couldn't be happier with this. Great toy for imaginative play.
